It's Okay To Let Them Play!

My daughter has been playing appropriate children games on the computer since she was two years old. Now she is four and I am amazed at how much playing games has helped her. There are programs for learning shapes, numbers and letters in a fun way. I love hearing her sing as she plays The Little Mermaid game and conducts her own orchestra. She creates pictures and other art activities in her Mr. Potato Head game. She has built ships, learned about wind resistance and operated a truck in her Busytown game. She can even play the Dora the Explorer version of Candyland! She has learned to think ahead, problem solve and has excellent hand/eye coordination. She remembers everything because she's learning and it's fun at the same time. You don't need anything but a standard computer and age appropriate games to let your child's imagination soar!

Parents and Wonder Time Magazines agree that the following are direct results of effectively learning to use a computer:
* a sense of accomplishment
*hand/eye coordination
*learning to think for themselves
*problem solving
*advanced motor skills

Get your child started now. It's never too late and it's definitely never too early!

Kids need to know about using computers so that when you get them in school that it will not take them 1/2 year to know how and will be more known with there peers

I think it is great. I didn't know anything about a computer until a few years ago. I was really behind in the computer age. I think kids also need activity to get exercise, so they should not sit in front of the computer all day every day.
